Polishing of substrate edges :
Smoothening of all straight or rounded edges by progressive hand polishing for substrate thicknesses from 0.127 to 3.048 mm.

BENEFIT :
For etched circuit patterns :
it removes the vitrified particles generated by the laser cutting process.
For bare substrates :
It gives the dimensions of the substrates a tolerance of +/- 0.05 mm and guarantees the achievement of smooth edges free from burrs resulting from laser machining (in particular, for scribbed-edge substrates)
IN-HOUSE PRODUCTION :
For all standard dimensions of alumina (Al2O3) substrates in 2" x 2" / 3" x 3" / ...
these can be supplied with polished edges.
